ABOUT
Rachel Strait is a professional mountain bike racer whose passion for riding took root early and never let go. She entered her first cross-country race at just 10 years old, and by 12, she was powering up the backside of Snow Summit, joyfully overtaking adult riders. At 15, she knew with certainty: she wanted to become a professional racer.
More than a decade later, Rachel has turned that dream into reality. With over 10 years of professional racing experience and more than two decades on the bike, she’s built a career defined by determination, resilience, and love for the sport. After earning a Business Marketing degree from California State University San Marcos, she began working at Crankbrothers. But she quickly realized her calling was on the trail—not at a desk. Trading her 9-to-5 for nights bartending and full days of training, Rachel made the leap—and hasn’t looked back.
Her career has taken her around the globe, competing in iconic events like the Sea Otter Classic and Crankworx Whistler. Alongside her husband, fellow professional rider Kyle Strait, the two have crafted a life rooted in their shared passion for riding and competition.
Their daughter, Stevie, completes their adventurous trio. The dynamic of raising a child while both parents compete professionally has added a new layer of complexity to their schedules—but it’s one Rachel embraces wholeheartedly. With the support of family and friends, the Straits carefully plan their calendars to allow for both shared events and solo travel, making space for racing, parenting, and everything in between.
Rachel’s story is one of grit, growth, and gratitude. She rides not just for herself—but for the younger version of her who believed this life was possible, and for everyone chasing a dream that doesn’t fit inside the box. Whether she’s on the race course, trail, or simply navigating the wild rhythm of family life, Rachel leads with heart, humility, and fierce joy.

Bronco Wild Fund and its collaborators help with grants, scholarships, contributions, and an extensive dealer network. A portion of the profits from every Bronco SUV sold goes directly to Bronco Wild Fund collaborator initiatives.
Rachel has been lucky to be involved with the Bronco Wild Fund and has secured $30,000 in funding for San Diego cycling programs including RideKrew, Sprockids, and SDMBA.
